Actually, trimming your hair does make it grow faster by cutting off the dead ends. Stimulating the scalp will also help it grow faster (like washing it daily and scrubbing the scalp gently).

But why would you want it to grow faster if you can't cut it? It will be on the floor if you never cut it. I know a lot about religion and know the custom of leaving hair long (females) but trimming is permitted.

Don't cut your hair. Cutting it will just make it shorter. Hair grows from the follicle and not from the ends.

Try using The Cream by Paul Mitchel. Put the size of a pea on your palm and rub in your hair after shampooing. Also, use a conditioner and a spray to detangle so it is less damaged. I use a dog grooming brush called a pin brush. It has long metal pins with NO ball on the end. Good luck.
