okay so my hair is now really damaged- yup I was dumb enough to die my hair about 6 times in 1 week-- once at the salon to lighten it-- then it turned out really light then i just bought like 5 different boxes of dyes-- some to lighten the dark brown hair i have-- then blonde ones then a darkener -- so now the lighten pieces that i still have in my hair are really brittle and i am soo scared they will just break off-- and the rest of it is sooo full of split ends that look bad.. I do not want to cut my hair-- does anyone know of good conditioners like pantene products or anything else that would repair it?????something I could buy at a walmart or drug store??

I don't care what the Pantene commercials say- no products is going to correct split ends. Why not try rocking a sporty short little haircut? I once permed and highlighted my hair (it was the 80's, shut up! :-) in the same week, and the highlights broke off about 2" from the roots (my hair was down to the middle of my back, and I looked like the bride of Frankenstein). Nothing looks better than healthy hair, so really, what are you clinging too? Lots of "length" that looks brittle and awful. Try rocking a new, sporty short haircut. I wish I could tell you what you want to hear, but those kind of miracles don't exist. Still, I can recommend Kiehl's Silk Groom- it's very nourishing and helps rid hair of frizzies and dryness, but it won't create miracles. BTW, trimming your hair so it "grows faster" is a myth. Getting rid of damaged ends doesn't stimulate your scalp to produce hair faster.

Sorry, the only way to deal with split ends is to cut off the tips and take better care next time. If you don't cut your hair, the ends will just split more and eventually your head will be just a big ball of frizz.

Sorry, there's no way you can fix that. Just cut off the split ends and be done with it. And never dye your hair that many times in a week. Six times is a few too many times in a YEAR. Treat your hair as nicely as you can, and get Pantene prouducts. That's all I can help you with, Ciao!

and don't blow dry or straighten your hair or anything for a while unless you need too.

Split ends cannot be repaired. They have to be trimmed.

There is nothing you can do. You must get a trim in order to keep your hair from splitting and to get rid of the split ends. In the meantime condition the ends only and don't colour your hair for a long time.

i have heard of this one conditioner/ shampoo it is very expensive it is called mane and tail i think. it makes it so you can grow your hair longer without you hair breaking and makes it stronger.

okay use olive oil and masage it into yuor hair it will take 1 month to see the differnce then use the shampoo and conitioner of infusion 23 the new shampoo good luck

sorry...you're gonna have to go get the tips cut off to remove the split ends...there is NO OTHER way to fix split ends...they won't suddenly un-split!

as for frequency of hair colour application, you should not colour your hair any more frequently than once every six (6) weeks...

use mane and tail shampoo and conditioner. its about $7 a bottle, but the bottles r HUGE and will last u more than a month.

since the 3rd grade ive straightened my hair every single day and i have soo many split ends u can touch it and theyll come off in your hair! its insane...its broken off at least 3 inches and was to my butt and i had to get it shoulder length.

i still have split ends but now i dont straighten it as often, or i dont dry it as often.

mane and tail shampoo and conditioner r like for horses and people. i know that sounds weird but i helps it grow a lottt more believe it or not! lol.

what i do is before i wash it, on dry hair i put A LOT of mane and tail conditioner in my hair and put like a heat wrap and thermal shower cap on. i leave it on as long as possible. then take it out and use the mane and tale shampoo.

make sure u wash it with another shampoo after u do that so it doesnt build up on your hair!

also if ur old enough to buy ur own stuff, get prenatal vitamins. my mom used em to grow her hair long and strong..and trust me it worked on herr! her hairs downn her back and very healthy.

and if u straighten it just pull it up in a messy bun everyday and then it looks cute and wont damage it.

dont use hair dryers often either..they dry ur hair out even if it is ceramic.

it mite help to slightly trim ur split ends even if u dont want to...itll make ur hair absorb all the conditioners better and make it healthier.

trust me..ive tried a lot of things.

ohh and another good treatment to used once a week is burts bees avocado butter!

Well, a 1, 2 inch trim would definitely get rid of the split ends, but i think if you dyed your hair 6 times in one week youve got bigger problems to worry about! Your hair is probably dry and damaged beyond belief! I would highly recommend you purchase vo5 hot oil treatments. I straightened my hair every day for a very long time without using heat protectants %26amp;my hair was so damaged. A friend recommended the oil treatment %26amp; after the first use I was hooked. It moisturizes %26amp; fixed my damaged hair. I got a trim before though, so dont think that it will help fix your split ends (maybe just a little though.) For especially COLOR treated hair, I highly suggest you Nexus products. Google them. Theyre a little pricey, (no nothing like 80 a bottle, maybe like 10 though) but they really work. My mother wouldnt let me use hers but I snuck into it %26amp; afterwards my hair was so soft %26amp; smooth. Good luckk !

I did this once. I dyed it, highlighted it, permed it, basically fried it! All you can do is have it trimmed and do not blow dry it for a good while. Say about a month. I would go to walmart and buy Zero Frizz..I use it all the time and rarely have split ends and I straighten it and blow dry it. I like it and it's a reasonable price. I would just crunch it with mouse for a while and let it be just make sure you have it trimmed...USE ALOT OF CONDITIONER and use Hot Oil treatments too. Good Luck!! IT took me a while to get my hair back into shape.

sorry hon, your'e gonna have to get it trimmed. use a good conditioning treatment for the dry, brittle hair. that will help. you should use a conditioning treatment 2 times a week or at least biweekly. good luck!
